About Me
Where did the name come from?
Once upon a time, there was a 13 year old Kevin who dreamed of being the next Walt Disney. He was confident that he would grow up to own an animation studio and make animated films that rivaled anything Hollywood could produce.
Armed with nothing but massive amounts of hubris and a basic animation software, he got to work producing his very first cartoon: a short about a self-building house of cards. Naturally since this would be his first big hit, he wanted the name of his studio to contain a reference to it… Therefore he landed on Trick Card Productions.
He finished the short and it was… not good. Like, it was really bad. He realized that he did not have the patience to pursue animation, nor did he have the desire to spend painstaking hours on acquiring the necessary skills to become an animator.
So our hero moved on, but he still liked the name and he kept it in the back of his mind… Always secretly hoping that the day would come when he would finally have a reason to use it.
